A BALL

Players and coaches involved in 'A' Division focus on introducing and improving basic baseball skills in a fun environment. Focus is on basic skill development such as throwing, swinging, fielding and running. Introduction of basic baseball rules. The goal is that players develop skills to play at the AA League level.

Advanced 8 year olds who have completed a minimum of one year in the A Division should move up to AA Division.  Little League 8 year old players who participate within the A Division will not be allowed to skip the AA Division next season and advance directly to Lower Majors.

Advanced 7 year old players who have completed a minimum of one year in A Ball may move up to the AA Division with league approval

Advanced 6 year old players who have completed a minimum of one year in T Ball may move up to the A Division with league approval

Overview

• Beginning or basic skilled players ages 6-8
• Regular attendance desired
• Practices/games 2-3 times per week, occasionally 4 
• Team rosters determined by Player Agent & League Coordinator
• Coach pitch graduating to machine pitch (batting tee may be used)
• Game utilizes regular baseball rules with some unique CRCLL adaptions.  Inning ends after 5 runs or 3 outs
• Game ends after 5 innings or 75 min time limit.  Coaches may agree to shortened games in extreme heat
• Equal playing time, batting order, and position rotation
• Defensive team coaching staff is umpire, if needed
